Key job responsibilities :
• Troubleshooting & configuring network and server hardware.
• Coordinating remote hands support with colocation providers.
• Working with cross-functional teams – both internal and external.
• Leading network & server scaling projects to expand AWS Edge data center infrastructure.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends, in support of a follow-the-sun on-call rotation and other time-sensitive escalations. Working with capacity teams to expand the AWS network.
• Resolving data center facility issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced understanding of fiber optic & copper cabling standards, testing equipment & troubleshooting methodologies.
• Exceptional ability to diagnose and troubleshoot network device and link issues (Layer 1 & 2).
• Excellent knowledge of server hardware and components..
