- To design and develop Transmission Driveline parts – Rear drive vehicle Differential gear & propeller shafts in automotive transmissions
Responsibilities :-
- Lay-outing and packaging of driveline parts in vehicle
- Designing of Rear Differential & Propeller shafts
- Development of proto parts & tooled up parts by concurrent engineering with suppliers
- Analysis of CAE & testing failures/ market problem pertaining to driveline
Competency Requirements :-
- CAD proficiency- Uni-graphics (mandatory)
- Designer CAE & analysis proficiency– Uni-graphics (mandatory)
- Understanding of functioning of Driveline (Differential & Propeller)
- Understanding of manual transmission sub-systems- gearbox, gear shift mechanism, synchromesh system
- Tolerance stack-up
- Project management using Gant chart & PERT techniques.
- Supplier handling & problem analysis using structured methodologies
