Basic Function of the Position: Under the direction of the Information Services Center, provides technical support to Public Affairs Section (PAS) staff on use of computer system resources, including oversight of PAS-specific applications (such as the library and Dedicated Internet (DIN)), installation of updates, troubleshooting problems, advising on PAS work processes, and developing methods to improve efficiency through use of software applications. The incumbent will be required to provide user support and necessary training. The incumbent will act as the Locally Employed Staff (LES) coordinator for PAS special projects, including liaison with outside contacts and other embassy sections as necessary. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Evaluations
- Education Requirements:
- This position requires Bachelors degree in Computer Applications/Business Administration (Information Technology) and a Microsoft MCSE/MCSA certification with Server 2012 is also required.
