Required Qualifications & Skills:-
Bachelor’s degree, with an extraordinary academic record in economics, finance, computer science, or a related field
Excellent analytic skills and strong attention to detail
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities and deadlines
Dependable and willing to work occasional weekend and holiday on-call shifts
Preferences:
Basic knowledge of data warehousing
Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL)
Knowledge of SQL query language and Unix/Linux environments
Familiarity with Java
Job Description & Responsibilities:-
Monitor automated data collection processes using proprietary data management tools, Unix scripting, and SQL query language
Resolve collection problems by analyzing logs, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions
Correspond by email and phone with our data vendor partners to resolve file problems or content questions
Escalate data file processing issues to Data Development Team, working closely with them to confirm and QA any required collection process code changes
Research and answer escalated data content questions from Client Support Specialists
Review and update data feed QA checks to improve data quality
Audit, update, and create data feed documentation
Understand how clients use Morningstar C&E Data
