Role & Responsibilities:

• Work with various data types including text and speech.
• Provide high-quality labeled data following guidelines to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) using in-house tools and software.
• Identify and report issues with tools and software for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate ownership and initiative by providing feedback to enhance existing tools and processes, ultimately improving data quality and efficiency.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to Amazon’s policies for securing confidential information.

A Day in the Life: As a Data Associate, you will play a crucial role in foundational labeling functions, such as dialogue evaluation on speech and text data, to enhance Alexa’s performance in real-world situations. Your adaptability, focus, and attention to detail will be essential as you work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Your ability to recognize and solve issues, combined with your creativity and individuality, will make you a valuable member of our team.

About the Team: The Alexa Data Services (ADS) organization collaborates with Amazon Machine Learning (ML) Science and modeling teams to provide critical data for improving Alexa’s speech recognition and language understanding capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

• A graduate in any field of study, with preference for quantitative fields like science and engineering (though not mandatory).
• Proficiency in the Windows desktop environment and the use of software such as Word, Excel, IE, Firefox, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Flexibility and willingness to perform repetitive tasks.
• High energy level, proactive nature, and a strong sense of ownership.
