Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for one functional area of our Fulfillment Center (Inbound, Outbound, Change Ops). Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.
Responsibilities
Facilitates the creation of workforce plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other change/Six Sigma initiatives to help functional areas and ultimately the FC achieve and implement business plans. so that you can exceed it. Establish and clarify requirements and expectations for area managers.
Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold area managers accountable for their own performance and the performance of their department.
Utilizes the Operations Manager and Area Her Managers by sourcing and promoting ideas and implementing them into the development of improvement plans for functional areas.
Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and networks.
Work closely with support staff (Human Resources Manager, Finance Manager, Facilities Manager, S&LP Manager, and other senior executives). (Manager, IT Manager) builds and secures support and resources for projects and initiatives in his or her area of responsibility, as well as providing necessary support and resources for other human resources initiatives.
Able to resolve operational and human resources issues affecting functional areas.
Presents issues that may impact multiple functional areas to Senior Operations, General Manager, and/or Human Resources with ideas for solutions.
Education Requirement :
– 3+ years of experience in Human Resources and Performance Management
Skills Requirement
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent OR 2+ years of Amazon experience (Blue Badge/FTE)
– Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, etc./or holidays/ work shifts/workspaces
