The Site WHS Officer is responsible for working with the Sorting Center’s Site Operations team to implement the company’s safety policy and ensure compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations. This person will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce accidental and ergonomic risks in processes and ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees by leveraging Lean principles and Kaizen. Responsibilities :

The Site WHS Officer must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise, and consistent messages both orally and in writing. This person will educate and train operations managers on the company’s safety policies and support field teams in implementing our safety standards in the field. WHS personnel in the field must identify best practices and integrate them into our standards to continuously improve corporate safety policies. Field WHS personnel are expected to have a good safety program, relevant safety, environmental and ergonomics knowledge and to demonstrate this expertise when cooperating with operations.

The WHS Site Officer is responsible for leading members of the Security She team, including the Security Specialist, Security She Coordinator, and on-site first aid staff. This individual will be responsible for creating and implementing a leadership development plan for the team’s security staff. You must communicate the security team’s expectations, provide regular and appropriate feedback to the security team, and ensure implementation of the Amazon Security Professional core competencies.
